I am saddened to hear of Chris's passing. My sincere condolences to his family.
Chris and I both attended elementary school and later became close friends in high school and thereafter. We worked together at Fas Gas (Big Bend & Ballas before it closed) for a stint.
Chris was passionate about many things, especially music. To say that Chris loved music is an understatement. Music energized Chris like nothing else. I remember hearing some of the mixes he recorded after attending specialized schooling. I'm sad that I missed his works later in life.
Chris had intellect. He was observant and saw details few others saw. He was quick-witted, hard cutting, to the point at times and yet hilarious at the same time. And he loved to laugh, more than I think many people knew, especially after making a humorous observation.
Chris was also curious about a lot of things, and he didn’t sit idle wondering about them, he pursued knowledge. I hope he learned all he had hoped to learn and grew in his pursuit of music. From his obituary, I suspect he did.
I’m happy for our time as friends and saddened we didn’t keep in touch.
Rest in Peace Chris
