I met Chris shortly after moving to Plantation at Leesburg in 2018, at the Manor pool. But, my best memory of being with Chris was at the Ashley Pool. That week, Marion was away visiting family in New York, and it was Chris' job to babysit, Chloe, their dog.
It was one of those impromtu lazy summer days, hanging out with your friends, telling stories to each other and laughing a lot. When all of a sudden a hard summer rain invaded our fun, but none of us wanted the weather to invade our fun, or force us out of the pool. So, like a bunch of silly teenagers, we got a poolside umbrella to cover ourselves. Was it a dangerous thing to do? You bet. At our age, did we know the danger? You bet. Did we care? Nope. We were a bunch of seniors acting like teenagers making memories on an ordinary summer's day. Who held tbe umbrella in the pool in the rain? Chris!
