Cheetra Hinshaw-Clark's Obituary
Cheetra Hinshaw-Clark, 79, passed away with a determined spirit on February 21, 2026, in Lake County, Florida. Originally from Crawfordsville, Indiana, she carried her warmth and vibrant spirit everywhere she lived.
Cheetra was a woman who truly connected with people. During the latter half of her life, she worked in nursing homes, where she formed meaningful friendships and brought comfort and companionship to many elderly residents. Her natural compassion and gift for conversation made her a bright presence in the lives of those she cared for.
She had a deep love for karaoke and was a wonderful singer. Whether performing for a crowd or simply singing with family and friends, Cheetra brought joy, laughter, and often a little sparkle to every gathering. Music was one of the many ways she shared her heart.
She is survived by her daughter, Marlena; sons, Matthew (Meagan) McNew and Bobby (Jill) McNew; her cherished grandchildren, Taylor, Eryn, Christopher, Rodney, and Robert; and her bonus granddaughter, Brianna and her great-grandsons. She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Jean Coffing Hinshaw, and her father, William ‘Bill’ Raymond Hinshaw.
Cheetra will be remembered for her voice, her kindness, her strength and spirit, and the connections she made throughout her life. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. Her family asks that she be remembered in moments of music, laughter, and compassion toward animals and military veterans.
