Charles Martin Wollert's Obituary
Charles Martin Wollert, 85, of Leesburg, FL, began his Heavenly journey on February 6, 2025. Charles was born on May 3, 1939 in Erie, PA, to his loving parents; Lester and Josephine (Reiter) Wollert.
Chuck graduated college with a Master's degree and spent his entire career as a chemical engineer with Bechtel Engineering Company.
Chuck dedicated his life to singing and sailing. He enjoyed spending his time on the water and lived on a boat with his wife, Ruth, for a brief time before settling in Florida 20 years ago. Chuck was a singer in a barbershop quartet for many years as well. When he relocated to Florida, he became choir director at South Lake Christian Church where he and Ruth were faithful members.
Chuck is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Ruth Wollert, his children and their spouses; Deborah Spurlock (Daniel), David Wollert (Michele), Daniel Wollert (Patricia), Suzanne Swanson and Tony Wilham (Nichole), as well as six precious grandchildren; Sam, Cate, Finn, Malynda, Melody and Ella and a twin sister; Nancy Bergeson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Chuck's loving memory to South Lake Christian Church.
