Charl Dean Roberts' Obituary
Charl Dean Bryant Roberts, 84, of Leesburg, passed away April 13, 2020 at her home. Charl was born on December 28, 1935 in Tuttle, Oklahoma to Charley and Ruby (McFarland) Givens. Charl grew up in rural Oklahoma, moved to southern California as a young bride, raised her family there, then, in 1995, moved to Leesburg, Florida in retirement. She loved to visit Daytona Beach with her husband Tony, to enjoy sunsets, walks and dinners down at the beach. Her heart was full and she had a happy life.
Charl loved living at The Plantation of Leesburg and was very active in the activities of this community. She enjoyed doing ceramics, the pot luck dinners and especially enjoyed playing darts. Charl was a Christian by faith.
Charl is survived by her daughter, Brenda Bryant and husband Larry Engwall of California; son Tony and wife Liz Bryant of California; son Mark Bryant of Florida; sister Clara Mae Rosenfelt of Oklahoma; sister Wanda Givens of Oklahoma; sister Jeanette and husband John Williamson of Oklahoma; grandchild Elisabeth Becker; grandchild Charles Becker; grandchild Lauren Bryant; grandchild Luke Bryant; and great-grandson Charlie Becker, all from California.
Charl is preceded in death by her parents Charley and Ruby, two brothers Don and Larry, a sister Patsy, and beloved husband Tony Roberts.
Regretfully, there will be no memorial services due the social gathering restrictions presently in place. However, we will all remember her in our hearts as a kind and loving gentle being that she was.
