Cecelia Skipper Pearson, 82, Fruitland Park, FL. went to be with the Lord on April 24, 2014 under the loving care of her family at her residence in Fruitland Park, FL. Mrs. Pearson was born on November 17, 1931 in Noma, Florida to her parents Joseph C. Ward, Sr and Trudell Skipper Ward. She was a lifetime resident of Lake and Sumter Counties and a long time member of the Okahumpka Baptist Church. She enjoyed being around family and raising and spoiling her grandchildren. She is survived by her loving children: Joe Dennis Skipper (Pamela Sue) of Webster, FL, Linda Hicks (Johnny) of Okahumpka, FL, Delilah Skilbred of Fruitland Park, FL, Patsy D. Berg of Fruitland Park, FL, Marylee Monaghan (Gene) of Okahumpka, FL and Patty Sentriss (Steve) of Okahumpka, FL; three sisters: Mary Ann Merritt of Wildwood, FL, Ganell Searcy of Birmingham, AL and Martha Sue Waller of Chipley, FL; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Centerhill Cemetery, Centerhill, Florida with burial to follow.
