Carol was a welcoming, kind, loving person who was a constant, affectionate companion and primary supporter of my dear friend John Sale, whom I have known for at least 66 years. John, as a self-owned businessman, relied heavily on Carol as his executive secretary, scheduler, accountant, treasurer and so much more, and he was always there for her. I am grieving over Carol's death and I always will miss her... but I am comforted by the assurance of her presence now in the embrace of her Lord and Savior. My Mom was the most down-to-earth, practical person I've ever known. She taught me to be resourceful and appreciate everything I have. And her relationship with my dad showed me what real commitment meant. She was always there for us, when we were growing up. Her love for us and Dad set a model for how to be there for my own husband and son. I married later in life, because I didn't want to settle down until I knew I could give my own family what she gave to us.

Carol and I have been friends and related for nearly 60 years. She was married to my dear cousin John. We spent many fun times in our younger years but always stayed in touch as we aged. Our visits were always filled with fun and wonderful meals. I know her family will greatly miss her as will I. Love and prayers to John and the family. Joan

I wish to offer my condolences to the Sale family. My friendship with David began in our junior year of high school and has endured the test of time through college, marriage, child raising, career building, and now, sadly, the loss of a parent.

I have fond memories of Mrs. Sale, mainly during the course of my many sleep-overs at the Sale house. Mrs. Sale always welcomed me into her home with a sense of down to earth grace and class. I frequently observed the banter that Mrs. Sale would carryout with Dave over the course of my visits. Unbeknownst to Dave, I would always conceal the smile on my face, knowing that Mrs. Sale was simply doing her motherly duty of giving her son a hard time and steering him on the righteous path in the face of his, (and my), many shenanigans.

My last visit with Mrs. Sale was, I believe, in 1998. While visiting David in Florida, Mr. and Mrs. Sale invited me over to their house. It was as if I traveled back in a time machine regarding Mrs. Sale. She was as hospitable and welcoming as I remembered from Temona Drive.

Mrs. Sale, the fact that your son has the utmost integrity and sincerity as my loving friend did not happen by chance. You succeeded at your life's work. May you rest in peace.
