Bruce Alan McDaniel's Obituary
Bruce Alan McDaniel, born January 3, 1966, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly of natural causes on May 1, 2021. Survived by son Alexander Michael Kade of Phoenix Arizona, mother Donna Lou McDaniel of Leesburg Florida, brother John James McDaniel and sister Karen Diane McDaniel, both of Apollo Beach Florida, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Bruce also had a special connection with Danielle (Kade) Beltz and family of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and Brittney (Kade) Lutz and family of Appleton, Wisconsin.
Bruce graduated from Oshkosh North High School in 1984 and amassed a wonderful and lifelong group of friends. He served on a Navy Destroyer, the USS John Young, in the late 1990s. He later went on to earn a degree in Electrical Engineering from DeVry University. He was good with his hands, and could fix anything. As an IT Engineer, Bruce worked on complex hardware systems for many companies and his work was meticulous and always done right. He loved
working out; Chicago Blackhawks hockey; fishing; hunting; the country of France and his many friends there; and his black Labrador Retriever Diamond, who for 12 years was his constant companion. He was also a champion for Mother Nature, and particularly for the health of the world’s oceans and their creatures.
Bruce was a loyal family member and a kind and loving soul. We will miss him greatly.
A visitation and chapel service will be held on July 29, 2021 from 2pm – 4pm at Page-Theus funeral home in Leesburg, Florida. Friends and family are invited to leave memories of Bruce on his Tribute Page at https://www.pagetheusfuneralhome.com/. The funeral home will make available a livestream for remote viewing. A burial service will occur on July 30, 2021 at 2pm at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. All are invited to attend.
John and Karen McDaniel are also planning a Celebrate Bruce day to be held in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in the late summer or fall, 2021. Details to follow.
