Bruce Alan Klein's Obituary
Bruce Alan Klein (75) passed away peacefully on July 31st, 2024, with his family lovingly by his side.
Born December 26th, 1948 to Ruth and Julian Klein, Bruce lived his young life in Bronx, NY with his sibling Maxine, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and family nearby.
Due to his rebellious educational streak, Bruce met his wife Jackie while attending Park College in Parkville, MO. After 7 years of marriage (and several state relocations) he and Jackie started a family and had Elayne Susan in Omaha, NE and Joshua Mitchell in Bethpage, NY. Bruce was forever proud of his children, touting them as “his greatest accomplishments,” they both found their own lives in Chicago, IL and Albany, NY respectively. Elayne delivered several four-legged, feline grandchildren and Josh and his wife Laura contributed Justin Martin and Max Alexander. Bruce was affectionately known as “Pappy” and loved all his grandchildren more than he ever imagined possible.
Bruce was principled and stubborn at times, but he also had an enormous heart and warm charm that afforded him many friends throughout his years. He was generous, loyal, and lived with strong ideals and compassion. He was a clever, intelligent, and a caring mentor, having gained numerous life experiences through his time as a Marine, Shortage Controller, entrepreneur, Property Manager, Husband, Father, and Grandfather.
He will be remembered for his deep devotion to his friends and family. He truly loved those he surrounded himself with - and if you knew him, you felt his warmth and loyalty. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and a graciousness for those who assisted him and who went before him. He will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie, his children, Elayne and Josh (Laura) his grandchildren, Justin and Max, his sister, Maxine and his beloved Willow Bea.
A celebration of life will be held on October 26th, 2024 at "The Monarch at Royal Highlands" in Leesburg, FL.
As Bruce found joy in social interactions and sharing with others, the family asks that you do the same - go out and do something that brings you joy or that uplifts someone around you.
