Brooksie Nelle Dancy's Obituary
Brooksie Nelle Dancy, 93, born in Maryville, Tennessee on June 10, 1931, joyfully entered the Gates of Heaven on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Charlotte Mayfield Retirement Center, Leesburg, Fl. She moved to Florida with her husband in 1952. She spent her life loving and raising children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of the Baptist faith and she loved her Lord. She enjoyed word search puzzles, singing and reading.
She is survived by her daughters Doris Green (James), Marsha Burke (Arthur) and Janice (Tina) Gonzales. Sons James Hall (Rebecca), William (Bill) Dancy (Doreen), Faron Hall (Catherine), Timothy Dunn, and Bradford Dunn. She had 33 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and countless nieces and nephews.
Brooksie was predeceased by husbands Robert Hall and Thomas Dancy; her daughter Tommie, Lou (TL) Dancy; granddaughters Erin Brooke Dunn and Marissa Colleen Hall; great-granddaughter, Brit N. Taylor; parents James and Ava Davis; sisters Joy Colleen Davis and Narcia McCullers; brothers Homer Davis, Ernest Davis, Robert Davis and Thomas Davis; sister-in-laws, Mary Jane Davis and Joyce Davis; and her brother-in-law, Doyle McCullers.
Services will be held at Page Theus Funeral Homes, 914 W. Main Street, Leesburg, Fl. Public viewing at 10:00 AM; Memorial Service at 11:00 AM.
Interment at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 1901 County Road 25A, Leesburg, FL at 12:30 PM.
