Bob Lee Ayers' Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Bob Lee Ayers on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
Bob was born in Marion, North Carolina to Vaughan James Ayers and Irene Baker. As a young man, he bravely served his country in the United States Army. After his service, he made his home in Southeastern Pennsylvania, where he met the love of his life, Nancy. Together, they raised three children. In early 2003, Bob and Nancy retired to Leesburg, Florida.
Bob found great joy in music, especially the classics of the 1950s, a soundtrack his family will forever associate with him. He loved wheeling and dealing at flea markets and had a lifelong fascination with jukeboxes, shuffleboards, pool tables, and a vast collection of 45 records. He was equally passionate about classic cars, most notably his beloved 1952 Ford Pickup and 1949 Chevy Coupe.
Bob is survived by his devoted wife of 65 years, Nancy J. Ayers; his three children, Mark Ayers, Ronald Ayers, and Sandra Weidner; and his sister, Doris Armstrong. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Bob will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
