Beulah A. Lankford's Obituary
Beulah A. Lankford, 89. Former longtime resident of Leesburg, Florida went to be with the Lord on November 24, 2020 in Tallahassee, Florida under the loving care of her family. Beulah was born on June 10, 1931 in Powhatan, Virginia to her parents, Morton A. Moyer and Pauline (Dunlop) Moyer. Prior to her moving to Tallahassee, she resided in Leesburg for over 60 years and was a major part of the City and its growth. She was an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Young Women’s Voting League and The Democratic Party of Leesburg. She was a Trustee for Lake-Sumter Community College and was a member of the Leesburg Airport where she served on the Advisory Board. Beulah was a devout member of Morrison United Methodist Church for over 60 year and worked for many years as a bookkeeper and with the Opportunity Shop. She is survived by her four beloved sons: Gordon H. Savage and his wife Deborah of Texas, Harry D. Savage and his wife Theresa of Tallahassee, FL, Lawrence E. Savage of Gainesville, FL and George S. Savage and his wife Maria Claudia of Miami, FL; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several adoring nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her late husband Elvis Jay Lankford, and three brothers. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 2:00PM at Morrison United Methodist Church, Leesburg, Florida. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00PM till the hour of service at Morrison United Methodist Church, Leesburg. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.pagetheus.com.
