I cannot believe our beautiful Bernie is gone. My immediate though is of a vibrant, healthy, smiling, gracious and loving man named Bernie. He was my brothers father-in-law, but truly he was our family and beloved. I always looked forward to seeing Bernie and Diane when they came to Michigan. I have wonderful memories of conversation. laughter and many happy times we spent together. Bernie and Diane always thought I was Stephen's little sister it was so funny the evening they found out that it was the other way around he was my little brother! I will never forget the love and kindness I was shown by this humble and gentle man who was always chipper and caring. His good cheer was contagious and I never wanted to miss seeing him. God bless him for the love he has given to everyone, especially to my brother Stephen and Lisa, Alissa and Kelsey. My love and heart goes out to Diane, for the loss of her love and lifetime companion. How fortunate to have such a wonderful mate for life. God bless you Diane and all the children too.
