Bennett Irwin Buxbaum's Obituary
Bennett Irwin Buxbaum of Leesburg, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 2nd, 2024, of complications from Parkinson’s disease at the age of 87.
Bennett was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 5th, 1936, to the late Evelyn Danzig and George Buxbaum.
His family relocated a few times in his teenage years and finally settled in Long Beach, NY.
He married Harriette Schoen in 1965 and with three of her young children moved to Orlando, FL in 1972.
Since Bennett had been a Real Estate Broker in New York. He became a licensed Real Estate Broker in Florida in until 2020.
After his wife passed away in 1979, Bennett moved to Casselberry, FL where he met Marge Guinta and then married March 14th, 1999.
Bennett was an amazing man, highly principled with a huge capacity to love, even though very unassuming and reserved. He was very proud that he had served his country in the United States Army along side of his brother, David.
He had a strong faith in God, and which is probably why his character was one of gentleness and kindness.
Bennett is predeceased by his brother, David Buxbaum of Boynton Beach, FL and his stepson, Joseph Guinta of Lake Mary, FL.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marge, his children; Leslie (Schoen) Strait of San Francisco, CA, Tracey (Schoen) Shaw of Orlando, FL and her husband, Todd; Brian Schoen of Newark, CA; Brett Buxbaum of Winter Gardens, FL and his wife, Janice; and Jennifer (Guinta) Stimphil of Kennesaw, GA; his sisters Gail Steinburg and her husband Roger Steinburg of Clermont, FL; and Gwen Buxbaum of Arnold MD; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
