Benjamin Genender's Obituary
Benjamin Genender 89, passed away on September 5, 2015. Benjamin was born on December 06, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to his parents Max and Fannie Genender. Benjamin was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and then moved to Florida with his wife Maria where they spent their later years. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Benjamin enjoyed woodworking, the beach, his dogs, and spending time with his family. Those who knew him would say that he was strong, independent, determined, and kind. Benjamin was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend who will be deeply missed by many. Benjamin is predeceased by his loving wife of 42 years: Maria Genender. He is survived by his Sons: Nicholas (Ginta) Genender, of Sag Harbor, NY, Benjamin Genender, of Middletown, NY and Joseph (Debra) Genender, of Saco, ME; Daughters: Nanine (Barbara-Clay) Genender, of Gainesville, FL, and Teresa Stathis, of Leesburg, FL; Grandchildren: Aiden, Kai, Leila, Emily, David, Daniel, Benjamin, Cody, Logan, Stephen, and Ian; One Great-Grandchild: Ian Noel; And many Nieces and Nephews. A Memorial service in honor of Mr. Benjamin Genender will be held on Thursday September 17, 2015 at 2:00PM at Florida National Cemetery located at 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
