So my Uncle "Baddle" was one of my favorites, a sweet, mild mannered Harrison amongst the troop I grew up to know. My father, the eldest, Paul, then Uncle "Stee", the next in line was Uncle Gregory, were the Harrison team that preceded my Uncle Basil. I will never forget how sweet Uncle Basil was to me, I have wonderful pictures of the handsome man in his Navy whites. And then, there was how much I loved and adored Aunt Trudie. She was just that kind of person, whom I will never, ever forget, an incredibly unique human being that only those who met her could adore. But the union of the two was a more special duo. A chance to visit Uncle Baddle and Aunt Trudie was a thrill. My cousin Kathy, was a special contemporary, whom I always adored, because she was an Aunt Trudie spin-off, but time and life got in the way to cause us to lose touch a lifetime ago.
Unca Baddle sent a Christmas card every year, and he always added "God Bless". I can confidently expect that Basil is in the hands of God because there are fewer and fewer who have earned that place, but my pal Basil was without question, one who did.
I am gonna miss you, but your ways, and your style and your beauty will always stay with me and they make me a better person in this world. I love you Uncle Basil!
Nephew Jeff. I will miss your annual Christmas card.
