Barry Clayton Hileman's Obituary
Barry Clayton Hileman, age 74, of The Villages, Florida went home to be with the Lord, Sunday October 12, 2025. As a Virginia native, Barry was born in Portsmouth and was preceded in death by his parents, George C. Hileman and Carolyn F. Ferrell. He is survived by his wife and High School sweetheart of 51 years Nancy P. Hileman; daughter Jennifer (and son-in-love David) Pollard, son Andrew Hileman; his grandchildren Makayla (and grandson-in-love Sawyer) Masuoka, Ryan Pollard, Jacob Pollard, and Carly Hileman; brothers, David (Linda) Hileman, Paul (Teresa) Hileman, Timothy (Birgit) Hileman; and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Barry always worked hard to provide for his family. In his early days he was a proud volunteer firefighter for the City of Chesapeake among several other jobs before becoming a Federal Civil Servant. He excelled as an Industrial Engineering Technician for 42 years before retiring in 2016. Barry’s love for the Lord as a devout Christian could be seen through his service as a Deacon at Jackson Memorial Baptist Church, his love for his community, friends and family.
He loved his family dearly and all the wonderful times spent together making life long memories. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking, baseball, old cars and family vacations in Nags Head, NC.
He was extremely proud to live in America because of our military and the freedom they allow us to have.
Life without him will forever be changed, but we know we will meet again in our eternal home one day. John 14: 1-3.
