Barbara Lee KleesShe was born 10/31/39 in Milwaukee, WI and passed away of natural causes on 1/6/25 in Sarasota, FL. Her parents were Melvin and Ruth Giesenschlag.
In 1963 Barbara married Ralph Klees and moved to Kenosha WI. Ralph and Barb were avid campers and traveled around Wisconsin and many trips down to Florida where they eventually moved permanently to Leesburg, Fl.
Barbara was known for her love of gardening and knitting. She also loved serving in AWANA at Kenosha Bible Church.
She loved caring for the Mattson children for 9 years and they loved her like their own grandma.
Barb is survived by her granddaughter Hannah Stayton Indianapolis, IN, sister Charlotte Lecus and nephew Scott Lecus of Waupaca, WI and niece Dawn Brzezicki of Blair, WI. She is also survived by her dear friends Noreen Mattson-Robbins, John Robbins, Sara Mattson-Moffitt, Erik Mattson and Megan Mattson Blaugh.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her daughters Sandra Schroeder and Katherine Lockington.
