Barbara C Fisher's Obituary
Barbara C. Fisher, 90, of Tavares, FL went to be with the Lord and reunited with her loving husband, Richard, on July 31, 2022. Barbara was born on May 24, 1932 in Chardon, Ohio to her beloved parents; Charles and Carolyn (Allyn) Canfield.
Barbara was of the Christian faith and a devoted mother to her family. She was a wonderful hostess and enjoyed cooking and crocheting. Everyone in her family has an Afghan or two handmade with love by Barbara.
Barbara married her husband Richard in 1952 and shared 67 wonderful years together before his passing in 2019. Their union was one of those true love stories highlighted by their service to one another and some good natured kidding. When asked about some plans, Dick often would say, “Let me consult with the War Department'' (referring to Barb). It is a true consolation to her family to know that these lovebirds are now reunited in Heaven. Barbara and Richard loved to vacation on the Pickerel River in Ontario Canada, they also enjoyed snow-skiing, fishing and golfing together; but most importantly, spending quality time with one another on their lanai with a glass of wine.
Barbara will be missed very much by her loving Family. She is survived by four children: Richard and his wife Carol of Rockford, IL; Doug and his wife Nancy of Gainesville, GA; Dori and her husband David of Madison, OH; and Dottie and her husband David of Leesburg, Florida. She is also survived by 9 treasured grandchildren: Cory, Casey, Megan, Benjamin, Barb, Kyle, Nikki, Lizzy, and Andy; as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and husband Richard.
