Barbara E. Ferris' Obituary
Barbara E. Ferris, 88, Leesburg, Florida passed away on April 10, 2016 at Florida Hospital Waterman in Tavares, Florida. Mrs. Ferris was born on December 14, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York to her parents Samuel Smith and Edith (MacAuley) Smith. Mrs. Ferris had worked in Human Resources for the Long Island Newsday in New York prior to retiring and moving to Florida. She moved to Florida from Ronkonkoma, New York to Ft. Pierce then from there to Ocala, Florida and finally to Leesburg, Florida. She was of the Catholic faith and had formerly belonged to the Syosset Racquetball club in Syosset, New York. When she was younger she was a Professional Dancer and loved to dance the “Lindy”. She is survived by her loving son: Joe Zielinski of Leesburg, FL and his companion Marcy Hennigsen. She was preceded in death by her late husbands, John Zielinski and Robert Ferris and a brother, Buddy Bennett. Arrangements are entrusted to Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, Florida.
