Barbara Ann Cohan's Obituary
Barbara Ann Cohan (née Hurley), aged 77, passed away on September 5, 2024, in Clermont, FL. She was born on November 2, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY.
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Michael Cohan; their children, Leigh Cohan, Danielle Cohan, and Michael J Cohan; and grandchildren, Cody Monfett-Cohan, Ryan Monfett-Cohan, Makayla Cohan, and Colin Verdi. She also leaves behind her sister, Pat Zaugg, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Hurley.
Barbara and her husband Mike were the light of each other’s lives for 56 years (married for 54), always supporting each other in the good times and bad. They loved traveling and took many cruises. She was a fantastic mother, who was their comfort and safe space and always went above and beyond. She loved her 4 grandchildren so much and couldn’t get enough of them. She was also wonderful Aunt to her niece and nephews. She was very close to her mother, Mary, until she passed away in 2001.
The family welcomes friends to honor Barbara's life at Page-Theus Funeral Home, 914 West Main Street, Leesburg, FL 34748. Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2024, from 1-3 pm and 5-7 pm. The funeral service is scheduled for Monday, September 9, 2024, at 10 am, followed by burial at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
