Barbara A. Brenner's Obituary
Barbara A. Brenner lost her battle with cancer on Monday February 6, 2012, and passed away at home in Florida, at the age of 65. She was born on September 25, 1946 in York, PA to the late Ervin C. and Ruth L. Eaton. Barbara was a 1964 graduate of William Penn Sr. High School, and spent over 35 years working for York Bank & Trust and their affiliates. She also worked for 10 years with an accounting firm at American Express/RMS McGladrey in Baltimore, MD, was a member of City View Community Church in York, PA. and the South Pointe Baptist Church in Leesburg, FL. Along with her husband, she served as the York Area Directors for Marriage Ministries Int’l, and was an Alumni Member of the Color Guard for the York White Rose Drum and Bugle Corps. Barbara is survived by her loving husband Gregory Brenner of Leesburg, FL, two children; Scott Brunner of Spring Grove, PA and Kelly Heindel of York, PA. In addition she is survived by one stepson; Chad Brenner of Royerlsford, PA, five grandchildren, and two sisters; Linda Brooks of Florence, AZ, and Sue Arnold of Murrells Inlet, SC. There will be a “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at the City View Community Church, York, PA. Friends and family may visit at the church on this Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Internment will take place on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in Mt. Rose Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials in Barbara’s honor be directed to Cornerstone Hospice 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778.
