Arthur Jay Stephenson's Obituary
Arthur Jay Stephenson passed away on January, 23, 2013 at the age of 84. Arthur was born on August 17, 1928 in Lorain, OH to the late John and Georgia Stephenson. He served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Army. Upon his retirement from U.S. Steel he made his way to south west Florida and just over ten years ago made his home in the Lake County area. Arthur was well known for his love of caring for his yard, and for his loyalty to the Ohio sports teams and the Orlando Magic. Locally he was a member of the Morrison United Methodist Church. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of over 64 years, Audrey Stephenson of Leesburg, FL, two sons; Jim Stephenson of Amherst, OH, and Dale (Kelly) Stephenson of Bradenton, FL, two daughters; Cheryl (John) Boston of Groveland, FL and Joyce (Rick) Hans of Lorain, OH. He is also survived by one brother; Robert Stephenson of Punta Gorda, FL, grandchildren; Christopher Boston, Scott Hans, Summer Sikora, David Hans, Chase Stephenson, Melissa Myers, Deanna and Brian Stephenson, and nine great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at the Plantation on Saturday, today, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Karen Burris officiating.
