Arlene Miller's Obituary
Arlene Miller, 78, of The Villages, FL passed away peacefully on September 28, 2022. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to her beloved parents, Nathan and Bella Miller.
Arlene spent most of her life in Miami, FL until six years ago when she moved to The Villages.
She had a love for her Jewish faith and was a member of Temple Beth Or in Miami and Temple Shalom of Central Florida.
Spending time with her nieces and nephews brought her the utmost joy. Arlene was a strong woman and an inspiration to those whose life she touched.
Arlene owned her own psychology practice, The Anxiety and Stress Management Center, where she positively impacted the lives of her patients for over 35 years. Throughout her career she was active in the Miami Dade social work and psychology arena and an advocate for mental health services. She was a politically active democrat and supported homeless and low-income communities advocating and helping to provide equitable access to mental health care. She was a proud supporter of women's rights and supported organizations promoting equal opportunities for women.
Arlene is survived by her loving sisters: Joan Grillo (David) of Mint Hill, NC, and Sue Miller of Ocala, FL. as well as twelve beloved nieces and nephews: Joel Miller (Mary), Janel Phillips, Rachel Grillo (Michael), Anthony Grillo (Marja), Julie Miller, Alexis Phillips, Brianne Holt (Daniel), Courtney Phillips, Ridge Smith, Nathan Grillo, Aili Grillo, and Mika Holt.
She will be missed dearly by family and friends.
Arlene is preceded in death by her parents and her brother Michael Miller.

A graveside service will be held on Friday October 7th at 10:30am at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
