Anthony Joseph Mazzeo's Obituary
Anthony J. “Tony” Mazzeo, 89, Lady Lake, FL. Passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at The Villages Hospice House under the loving care of his family. Mr. Mazzeo was a Manager for the Prudential Life Insurance Company and during his career he worked in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Jacksonville, FL. He has resided in Lady Lake for 26 years moving from Fort Lauderdale, FL., and was a member of the B.P.O.E. lodge in Belleview, FL. where he served as a Trustee. He was a member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in The Villages, FL. and was a Veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years Helen Mazzeo of Lady Lake, FL.; a son: Anthony L. Mazzeo (Linda) of Rhode Island; two daughters: Carol Mazzeo of Providence, R.I., and Kim Cannon of Hollywood, FL.; a brother: Robert Mazzeo of Barrington, R.I.; two sisters: Anna Barboza of Seekonk, R.I., and Elaine Verity of Harmony, R.I.; four grandchildren: T.J. Mazzeo, Tanya Guzman, Zachary Cannon and Kristen Adams: one great-granddaughter: Atiana Guzman; Mr. Mazzeo was preceded in death by a daughter Lynda Bush, a brother Frank Mazzeo and a sister Irene Simas. A Mass of Resurrection will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 8:30am at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church, The Villages, FL. with burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL. Services entrusted to Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, Florida.
