Anna F. Singer's Obituary
Anna F. Singer, age 86, passed away peacefully at Estelle’s Hospice House in Ocala, Florida on Friday afternoon, August 7, 2015. She was born in Burglengenfeld, Germany and moved to the Summerfield area in 2003 from Miami, Florida. Anna was a retired Seamstress and during World War II she served as a Red Cross Nurse in Germany. She was a dedicated and loving mother to her 3 children. Anna also devoted much of her life to fund raising efforts for Israel. As a member of the Jewish American Social Club she headed a fund raising campaign that provided a fully stocked brand new ambulance that was donated to the community Ramat David in Israel.
Anna leaves behind to cherish her memory a son-Michael (Ellen) Singer of Miami, Florida; 2 daugters-Mika Garry of Summerfield; and Vicki Singer of Miami; 5 grandchildren-Sheva, Marni, Aaron, Deborah, and Brian; and 9 great-grandchildren –
A funeral service is planned for 1:00 PM Tuesday at Page-Theus Funeral Home 914 West Main St. (downtown) Leesburg, Florida, the Spiritual Leader of Temple Shalom Sheldon Skurow will serve as officiant. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
