Anna Celia Roig's Obituary
Anna Celia Roig, 86, of Kissimmee, FL, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024. Anna was born on April 1, 1938 in Puerto Rico to her loving parents; Basilio Calderon and Eusebia Ayala.
Anna was raised in New York City from the age of 7 years old and became a resident of Florida in 2003. She was of the Catholic faith and a long time member of St. Paul Catholic Church. Anna worked as a nurse in labor and delivery for over 30 years and was very active in her church community as well as her community in The Plantation at Leesburg, playing volleyball and softball especially.
Anna will be missed dearly and remembered fondly for being a social butterfly. She was also loud and boisterous, she was known to many as "big mouth".
Anna is survived by two children; Charles Roig Jr. and Melinda Roig, and three granddaughters; Janice Escobar, Ashley Ponce DeLeon Roig and Alexa Roig.
Anna is preceded in death by her husband of over 20 years, Charles Roig Sr., who passed in 1982, and her parents.
