Anita Jill Flohr's Obituary
Anita "Jill" Flohr, November 22, 1957 - November 17, 2025
Jill's greatest joy in life was her family. She absolutely loved being a mother and grandmother. She spent 27 years as the Director of Community Christian School in Fruitland Park where she had the joy of serving hundreds of children in the community. After her retirement in June of 2024, she spent most of her time supporting her grandchildren, throwing luncheons for her friends, doing puzzles and enjoying all retirement life had to offer. Her happy place was in the mountains or wherever her family was. Above all, Jill’s life was rooted in her deep love for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, whose grace guided her compassion for others.
Jill (67), of Leesburg, FL, was born in Columbus, OH. on November 22, 1957. She is survived by her mother, Wanda Sue Mackey (89); her four siblings: Sherri McDonald (72), Sandra Mackey (70), Wanda Jo Randall (65), Danny Mackey (63); her former spouse of 41 years: Rex Flohr (73); her three daughters: Amy Jones (50), Tiffany Mauriell (44), Melissa Bryson (37); her sons in law: Jason Mauriell (45) and Westley Bryson (38); and her seven grandchildren: Christina Gearheart (29), Hunter Rhoades (27), Alex Homs (23), Landon Mauriell (17), Noah Mauriell (17), Beau Bryson (8), and Bailey Bryson (7).
Her Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. at Grace Bible Baptist Church located at 1703 Lewis Road in Leesburg, FL. A reception will follow the service. All are welcome to attend and celebrate her beautiful life.
