Amy Ruth Schaller's Obituary
Amy Ruth Schaller age 63 of Fruitland Park, Florida passed away early Friday, March 7, 2014 at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center. Amy was born in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania but spent most of her life in the Leesburg and Lake County area. While she did work in the retail sales and the real estate industries for many years her favorite job was being a mother to her children and a loving caring wife to her husband John. She was the model of a Strong Christian and an inspiration to her family. She was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Eustis, Florida, and the Ladies Auxiliary of Gideons International. Talented Seamstress does not amply describe her sewing abilities. She will be remembered for her ability to make or create anything with cloth and thread. She enjoyed gardening and spending time in her yard, traveling around the country and cruises with her husband John, but her greatest love was being a Grandmother. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her father Willard VanOrder of Ocklawaha, FL; her husband of 40 years John, her sons Chris (Rachael) Ponds of Leesburg; and Jason Schaller of Fruitland Park; Daughters Jamie (David) Vick of Wildwood; and Jenifer Schaller of Yalaha; Brother Claude VanOrder of Ocala; Sister Jeanette Vaughn of Okahumpka; and Seven Grandchildren – Brittany, D.J., Kyle, Breah, Caleb, Michael, and Ethan. She was pre-deceased by her Mother Bethel and her Twin Brother – Daniel VanOrder.
A Funeral Service celebrating her life is planned for 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at the Page–Theus Funeral Home, 914 W. Main Street, Leesburg, Florida. The Family will receive friends at the Page-Theus Funeral Home in Leesburg on Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 P. M. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in Amy’s memory to: The American Cancer Society – Hope Lodge/Attn: Nancy Dohn, 2121 S.W. 16th Street, Gainesville, FL 32608.
