Alva Lynn Horne's Obituary
Alva Lynn Horne, 66, of Leesburg FL, passed away peacefully at home on November 10, 2022. Alva was born in Milledgeville, GA to his loving parents Alva and Ethel (Nelson) Horne.
Alva grew up in Georgia, but eventually moved to Florida where he raised his family with his beloved wife, Susan. Alva and Susan had celebrated over 20 loving years together as a couple until her passing in May of 2006.
Alva was of the Southern Baptist faith. He enjoyed being outside and working as a Landscaper, he even tended to his own garden where he would grow vegetables of any kind. Alva also enjoyed listening to Southern Rock music and made many wonderful memories of going on camping trips with his family. Alva will be remembered fondly for being a jokester and prankster, he will be missed dearly by his family.
Alva is survived by his three sons: William and his wife Janae of Casselberry, FL, Tony and his wife Sabrina of Cosby, TN, and James of Casselberry, FL. as well as two brothers, Bobby Horne and Joel Horne, two sisters, Dollie Horne and Robbie Simmons, eight precious grandchildren: Jacob Horne, Austin Horne, Halle Horne, Matthew Horne, Amberlee Horne, Dylan Horne, Gavin Wooten, and Rylie Ryan and a great grandchild, Averie Horne.
Alva is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Susan, a brother, Larry and sister, Kathy, as well as a grandchild, Landon Wooten.
