D Paschall
This written by a third party at the request of Allen’s youngest daughter. It has been recounted by multiple sources that she was not to be informed of his illness or his death by request of specific first of kin. Regardless of any alleged external efforts made to prevent connection/re-connection between them, she recalls special memories of her father. Among her favorites are, as a young child, the pancake breakfasts he would cook for the family, the early trips to the bakery to get donuts on weekend mornings, and most especially letting her pick her own special cupcake. She recalls his support, pride and enthusiasm for her junior equestrian career. Also his lessons of vehicle maintenance as she handed him tools when he worked on the family cars in his home in Stamford, CT. Most poignantly she remembers their daily talks over coffee as an early 20’s adult and his encouragement and guidance while she was working through undergraduate courses and later moved to Texas to finish her degrees and establish her own life. He is deeply loved and honored.
