Alfred Edward Brien's Obituary
Alfred Edward Brien, 89, of Altoona, FL, passed away on April 21, 2020. Alfred was born in South Hadley, MA., on December 5, 1930 to the late Myra and Fredrick Brien. He is survivived by his loving wife Jean Brien. Alfred has proudly served his country with the National Guard, and as a Veteran he was part of AmVet Group in Leesburg. He was also a member of the Lake Sentinel Band for 20 years, where he played the tuba. He as an avid book reader and enjoyed bird-watching with Jean. When he wasn't spending time with family, he enjoyed the company of his friends Pat and Don Trombley.
Alfred is survived by his wife Jean, son; Michael Brien (Susan), daughters; Sandra Brien (Sandy), Nancy Szwyol (Bob), Christine Golden (Richard), sisters; Carol and Wendy, 7 grand children and many great grandchildren, and a host of many other family members and friends.
Alfred is predeceased by his parents Myra and Fredrick Brien, and his sister Dottie.
Alfred was an amazing person, and he will be missed by everyone that knew him.
