Albert "AL" Maltais' Obituary
Albert “AL” Maltais age 79 passed away January 1, 2015 at The Villages Hospice House, The Villages, Florida. He was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts and moved to The Villages 18 years ago from Franklin, Massachusetts. Before retirement he spent over 30 years as an installation technician with Stanley Magic Door. Al was known by those closest to him for his love of God and his family. He was a very active member of St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in The Villages where he also served as a Eucharistic Minister and was known for his devotion to his church community. Those closest to him will remember that he was very mechanically gifted and was never afraid to tackle a repair or construction project. Most of all he will be remembered for being happiest when he was surrounded by his family. He was pre-deceased by his sons - Russell and Kenneth Maltais.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years – Norma; 4 sons- Paul Maltais of Bradenton, FL; Philip (Darcy) Maltais of Northbridge, MA; Stephen (Debra) Maltais of Plainville, MA: and Thomas (Nancy) Maltais of Apex, NC; 5 daughters – Deborah Arcand of Tampa, FL; Denise (Joe) Molinaro of Dover-Foxcroft, ME; Diane Ball of Canyon Lake, CA; Doreen (Steven) Scheufele of West Boylston, MA; and Donna (David) Petersen of Fruitland Park, FL; 24 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
A Memorial Mass is planned for 8:30 A. M. – January 9, 2015 at St. Timothy’s Catholic Church in The Villages, Florida.
