Walter Lastition, 97 of Leesburg passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021. Born April 29, 1924 in Austinburg, OH the son of the late William and Anna (Duchniak) Lastition. Walter grew up in a farming family and is an alumni of Aust Read Obituary
Pop was a wonderful man and loved Cookie and her so much. We are sad to see him go and he will be missed by the Grimm Family. Thanks for the great food, fun, company and welcoming us as if we were your family. He made it to 97 and it was a good long life. Sorry we can’t be there in person to see him off, but know that we will always remember Walters’s spirit! Til we meet again!
Walter was a great brother-in-law! We have so many wonderful memories of our times together, especially at the beautiful condo in Daytona Beach Shores. His door was always open to us and to members of our family. He was such a gracious host and an outstanding cook. His dinners were second to none and he always sent us all home with loaves of his scrumptious banana nut bread. We treasure the stories that he shared about his service on both fronts during World War II and his many adventures running his businesses. How lucky were were to learn so much about our country's history through his first hand experiences! Walter, you will be so missed!
