I would like to thank Erika McDaniel and Page-Theus funeral home for their assistance in arranging for my dad's cremation. She was very helpful and caring with my brother and I. I especially was very touched when I came to pick up my dad's urn. I was expecting to just meet her, she would give me the urn and I would be on my way. Instead, she led me into a small room where she had a beautiful display with dad's urn as the center piece. There was a rose and a candle in front of the urn, dad's flag for his service in the Army, and an Army banner behind the display. I was overwhelmed by the thoughtfulness of this and it brought tears of joy to me! Thank you Erika and Page-Theus funeral home for those tears of joy! Jim and Staff - I want to thank you for everything you did in providing the care and services of my sister M.R. I know this is your "job" but the care and compassion you showed to us was beyond words. I don't know what I was expecting but our private viewing was so special and beautiful. Then at the services on Sat. I guess I didn't expect you to be there since the burial had already taken place but there you were. Thank you for making a very difficult time a little easier and so beautiful.C.H.
Dear Sir / Madam - I, along with all the ladies of the Faithful Ruth Sunday School class, want to thank you for allowing us the use of your kitchen / dining area for the service of Mrs. P.H. The class, at the last minute, was called upon to supply food for the family between the two services. The time factor was somewhat short and we were wondering how we could pull it off to meet the families need. With your help and the use of your facility, we were able to more than meet the needs of the family in regard to serving them a meal. God bless you as you meet all kinds of needs with all the families that you come in contact with.J.K.
Recently I had to do the most difficult thing I have every had to do. I buried my husband of 31 years. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to two local organizations. First, I would like to express my sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Cornerstone hospice who helped T. and I through the last 21 months of his life. Their care, compassion and respect helped to make this time of our lives a little easier. Perhaps, more importantly I would like to express my personal thanks and appreciation to William Ward III and his staff at Page-Theus Funeral Home. They turned what could have been a difficult and traumatic experience for me into one that I will remember for the rest of my days. It would have been easy for Bill and his fellow staff members to treat T. and I with respect. Bill and the staff, however, went above and beyond. Not only did they make this very difficult situation bearable ,they made it memorable for me. They extended to T. and I not only the respect I would have expected, but compassion, dignity and understanding beyond my imagination. As well, a member of their staff arranged a gift for me that I shall cherish for the rest of my days on this planet. I had submitted to the Daily Commercial the obituary I wanted, and it was printed unedited. As part of T.s obituary, I included a picture of him during a very happy time in his life. This staff member at Page Theus made the members of the local Rotary Club aware of what was transpiring, and unknown to me, had a Native American throw created for me with is picture screen printed on it. That throw now lays on our bed and will remain there to protect me to the end of my days and will be used to wrap me in for my final journey when I will join T. for eternity. Finally I would like to recognize one very special person who assisted me, Shaman Anna Oliver of Tampa, without her help I could not have given T. the rights he wanted and desired.Charles Clark Brown - Via Letter to the Editor
Bill, things are beginning to settle a bit and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for presenting such a lovely memorial service for B. I was so impressed and pleased as well as all of my friends. You made a very difficult time become beautiful and comforting and I will always appreciate your kindness. Down the road I plan to come in and make my arrangements so everything will be in order. Thank you, again, for making B.'s memorial so special.G.
