William L. Viands Jr.

William L. Viands, Jr., Leesburg, Florida passed away on February 18, 2022 at his residence under the care of his family. William was born on December 27, 1936 in Pontiac, Michigan to his parents William L. Viands, Sr. and Josephine (Roselli) Viands. He was a former Vice President in the Broadcast Industry and had worked from 1958 to 2005 when he retired and became a Consultant in the Broadcast Industry to help struggling markets and develop stronger methods in helping to gain market share. He moved to Leesburg, Florida 11 years ago from St. Louis, Missouri when he finally retired. He was of the Christian faith. He had served in the Michigan National Guard. He was a member of Boy’s Club of America, The Kiwanis Club of Miami, Florida and The National Broadcasters Association. He was quite proud in working in the following Markets, Parkersburg, West Virginia, Miami, Florida, New York, Atlanta, Georgia and St. Louis, Missouri. William was survived by his loving son: Robert Viands of Plantation, FL; a brother: Phillip Viands of Whitelake, MI; a granddaughter: Ashley Wallace and her husband Wesley Wayne Wallace of Morriston, FL; daughter-in-law: Laurie Viands of Leesburg, FL and two nephews and one niece. He was preceded in death by his parents, a beloved wife, Betty Lou Viands, a beloved son, William L. “Billy” Viands, III, a beloved daughter, Deborah Anne Viands and a brother, Warner Viands.
