Thornton L. PaceThornton L. Pace age 71 passed way early Sunday morning July 31, 2011 in Leesburg, Florida. Thornton was born in White Swan, Washington and moved to the Leesburg area in 2003 from New Hampshire. He was a retired Electrician and he was a veteran of both U. S. Army and the U. S. Navy. He retired from the Navy after serving a total of 20 years and earning numerous medals between the two branches. He was an avid sports fan and outdoorsman, pistol marksman, and skilled archer. He loved NASCAR races and always cheered for the Earnhardts. He will also be remembered by friends and family as a Ping-Pong “Champion” and for his love of billards.He is pre-deceased by his wife of 25 years Donna and his grandson Zachary Bourgeois.Survivors include: His Daughters and Son-in-laws: Brenda (Richard) Bourgeois of Marlboro, MA; Elaine (Fred) Vianey of Carlisle, PA; and Laurie (John) Beane of Bellingham, MA; his sister: Helen Pace of Leesburg, FL; and 5 grandchildren: Adam, Dillion, Richard, John, and Jacob.In accordance with his wishes after his cremation he will be buried at sea with full Navy honors.
