Will miss our friend and neighbor. Enjoyed stopping and conversing with Quincy from time to time. First met him at Eagle's Nest Baptist when both he and his wife were in better health. Quincy always waved and had something to say and loved it when you could stop by and chat. Was always amazed at his housekeeping prowess, even after his spouse died. We delighted in taking him a meal or picking him up a fish dinner when we were out and if he wasn't setting in the garage people-watching, he'd invite us in. Quincy loved talking about his wife, his career, moving to Florida, his boyhood in Arkansas. Quincy had a boyhood friend most of us have had dealings with indirectly by the name of Sam Wal (yep, Wal Mart founder). He also shared about having a ship blown out from under him while serving in the Pacific theater in WWII. Do not remember the name of the ship; maybe someone can share it. We will surely miss Quincy's waves and smiles. May he REST in PEACE with his beloved wife and family who preceded his passing.
