Joseph John Lavallie, Jr. of Yalaha, FL passed away Thursday, February 10, 2022, 92 years after the day of his birth on February 10, 1930; son of Aurelie Piette Lavallie and Joseph John Lavallie, Sr. of Chicago, IL. He was a very caring man, full of life and love. He adored his three children, seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren and truly cherished the time he spent with each of them. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Elsie Lavallie; his son, Richard Joseph Lavallie, and his two daughters, Debra Carol Lavallie Drake and Beverley Ellen Lavallie Cline; as well as his sister, Carol Lavallie Pedraza; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 44 years, Dorothy Edna Maxwell Lavallie; his parents and a sister, Lorraine Lavallie Petrone. His career was spent in the airline industry as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic at Eastern Airlines in Miami, FL. He served and was retired from the U. S. Air Force, having served in the Korean War. He loved the sport of gaming, his favorite being at a lively craps table, and also enjoyed watching his beloved Tampa Bay Lightning play ice hockey.
