Mr. James F. Norman Sr.

James F. Norman, Sr. age 89 passed away late Thursday evening in Leesburg, Florida. Mr. Norman was born in Mount Clare, West Virginia and moved to Lady Lake area 32 years ago from Parkersburg, West Virginia. He was a U. S. Navy Veteran and proudly served during W.W. II. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Leesburg, Florida. Before retiring to Florida he worked as an accountant for the Monongahela Power Company in West Virginia for over 40 years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and vintage cars. He was a former member of the Tavares Elks Lodge 1578, The Loyal Order of the Moose, and he was a 32nd Degree Mason. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 68 years – Evelyn; Sons – Rev. James (Iris) Norman, Jr. of Ocala; and John (Carol) Norman of Little Rock, AR; a Sister – Elaine Burnett of Boise, ID; and 3 Grandchildren- Rebecca, Laura, and David. The family will receive friends at the Page-Theus Funeral Home - 914 West Main St. Leesburg, Florida on Monday – June 3, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 P. M. A celebration of his life will take place at 11:00 A. M. Tuesday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Blanchard serving as Officiant. Interment with military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida. All arrangements are under the careful direction of Page-Theus Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Leesburg.
