The service was beautiful and very fitting in honoring Ernie. He was my father- in- law for 12 years. Many times he was my voice of reason. He was always available to talk with me about anything. He helped me thru some rough moments and always made me feel better. I called him Dad, he was a wonderful father to me. I will always treasure the times I spent with him.
I know he is so very proud of all of his family! He will live forever in my heart!

I will always remember Uncle Ernie as the one who took responsibility when we as young adult kids wanted to go sailing in Myrtle Beach (on one of our adventurous vacations together)! He told them, "Yes, I know how to sail!" And he had, possibly, once, a long time earlier!! 😀😀😀 He was very brave to take us all out!
We had so much fun!
