C. James Valentine, Jr., 89, Leesburg, FL passed away on November 30, 2012 in Leesburg, FL. Mr. Valentine was born on May 18, 1923 in Cortland, New York to his parents Claude and Alma Valentine. He was veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant in an Artillery unit in Europe. Mr. Valentine was a Developer and owner of a residential real estate business and was of the Christian faith. He moved down from South Carolina in 1997 to The Plantation of Leesburg and was a former member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He is survived by sons: Stephen Valentine of New York, C. James Valentine, III of Florida; daughter: Heather Valentine of Colorado; 14 Grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and his devoted friend Sharon Horton of Fruitland Park, FL. A Funeral Service is scheduled for Friday, December 21, 2012 at 12:00pm at Page-Theus Funeral Home, Leesburg, FL with burial to follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL with military honors.
