October 3, 1965 - August 18, 2021
Christopher (Chris) Allen Davis, 56, Leesburg, Florida, went to be with the Lord on August 18, 2021, while in Jasper, Florida. Chris was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on October 3, 1965, to his parents Jack Davis and Merle Mueller. Chris was a long-distance truck driver and spent many weeks and months away from family and friends due to his career. The miles of distance did not keep Chris from stopping in a city near a loved one or friend, as he would want to catch up for a quick lunch or to give a big hug. Chris always had an infectious smile on his face which is why he never met a stranger. Along with his outgoing personality, Chris had a love for cooking. These traits made him a treat to be with as he would invite anyone to a BBQ dinner––even while parked at a truck stop for the night. When he did have time at home or (just had access to a kitchen), you would find him preparing a feast as he was "Mr. Awesome" and just wanted to cook and share a meal. The University of Miami was his favorite football team. Chris even proudly represented The Hurricanes with a green and orange "U" tattoo. His newest tattoo, special to us all, was revealed as his personal signature of "Peace, Love, and Hugs, Baby." Next to his children and family, Chris made God the most important part of his life. Known to pray for his country daily, he loved the U.S.A. and proudly displayed an American flag in his truck. There are not enough words to describe or even share about Chris; he was a remarkable man and will be missed by many. We may not have all the answers, but Chris wants us to remember: "Gods got this. Peace, Love, and Hugs, Baby. With all my heart, love you all, family, friends, and the new friends I meet along this wonderful life of mine. Big hugs, baby..." –Chris Davis, May 2, 2021 He is survived by his loving family: father, Jack Davis, mother, Merle Mueller and her husband, Hal Mueller; two sons, Casey Davis and Brendon Kellaher; two daughters, Megan Hand and Nicole Davis; six grandchildren, Brantley Schomaker, Roy Schomaker, Oliver Schomaker, Issac Davis, Teagan Davis, Emmett Davis, and Madelynn Davis; two sisters, Lori Davis and Charlie Davis; and many more family and friends. The family of Chris Davis will be welcoming friends and loved ones to a Celebration of Life Service on Friday, September 3, 2021, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Page-Theus Funeral Home in Leesburg, Florida.
