Rene C. Provost, 79, of Leesburg, FL, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Thursday April 26th after a brief illness. He had resided in Florida for the past 15 years, but spent most of his life in Connecticut. Re Read Obituary
Auntie Roz, Donna and Pam: So sorry for your loss. Uncle Rene was a wonderful man, father, and Uncle. We had some good times running around the base field in Niantic when you guys were stationed there. Seems every time my Parents went on some VFW function we were sent to Niantic to the Provost home. Wonderful memories.

On behalf of the Gloria Smith/Provost family of Brooklyn, CT, let me say how sad we are to hear of mononcle Rene's passing away. He visited our mother, Gloria Smith (née Maurice) only last year, and she has such a fond recollection of that happy visit from Rene, a gentlemen and high school classmate whom she admired and respected tremendously. Rene was my godfather, and although I failed to keep in touch with him and my godmother, matante Roz, as the years passed and families grew apart, I will never forget the effort they made to send gifts at Christmas and birthdays when I was a child.
